Review: G&G/Dueba Shinny Grey

Hello February!
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I’ll try my best to manage my time and share some make-up look to pull off this coming hearts day.

For the meantime, I would like to share another lens review sponsored by Shoppingholics.com
Shoppingholics is an online store in Malaysia that carries a wide range of circle lenses as well as other fab asian cosmetic products and ships everything worldwide.

They have sent me these bundles with a touch of cutesy and showered with sweetness! Aren’t they?
Uberly cute gift card, lenses in a girly box, animal cases and Velcro hair keeper.
Moreover, Shoppingholics gave me a special discount code for all of you.
CODE: 1000161850
You can use this when you purchase a pair of lens.
In every $20 with this code you will receive a 2 USD discount.

I’ve been wanting to try some tri-color lenses that are bright and noticeable for a change, and for those time when I want to step out of my comfort zone.. yes, I do get bored.
So I am quite pleased and happy that I chose to try the G&G Dueba Shinny series lens, I find them so vibrant and really opaque-seriously opaque.

Color & Design
The color of this lens is supposedly grey.
I am so surprised when I tried it and it is actually more on Blue—somewhat blueish-gray which looks nice with eye make-up on.
I love the small burst of brown in the middle which I think makes it really stand out.
It gives a nice transition with its design and from the natural color of the eyes.
It shows up really well and has some details that I love, interesting depth as it gives off some gradient effect. I think the design and color will work pretty well for both dark and light colored eyes.
I’m not sure if it’s only me though, you might need to have some eye make-up on to pull these lenses off. It somehow looks exotic looking on me without any eye make-up.

Enlargement
Gives off a quite Natural Looking Enlargement.
I like the way it enlarged my eyes with the black ring, while giving that interesting sparkle.

Comfort
I didn’t feel any stinging or discomfort for the first six hours that I wore them. I honestly tried this pair for 2 consecutive days, and so far there’s no redness or any irritation.

Overall
I love the design with its interesting depth and gradient.
Great for those who want a visible and noticeable color change.
However, It can be quite distracting without any eye make-up..
since I am more into shadows and I love doing my eye make-up, I find this lens really pretty!
I think this pair is great for both natural and cosplay effects for a pretty bright eye popping color!

On the other note.. my recent photos were taken from my new baby Nikon D7000 with the help of my new light diffusers- thus you can see a nice catch of lights on my eyes.
I actually set-up my mini photo studio at home that provided me a great natural ambient light, so the color of my skintone is pretty good and warmed, compared to my previous shots/posts.
