Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay in Dollface & Park Avenue Princess + Comparison Swatches

I’ve been busy for quite a while with some Family matters. Not been able to drop by to your lovely blogs, and respond to some of my blog comments.. so many pages to read and so many package to admire. This week has been quite stressful for my siblings and me. I am thankful that everything is okay now. Indeed, God is Good all the time! This has been a very fruitful and blessed week for us, which somehow strengthen our bonds as siblings, and renew our faith that nothing is impossible to our God Almighty! We had a little Thanksgiving feast yesterday, and spent our time together.
So, Today i just want to share this review and some swatches of Tarte Blusher & Bronzer On the Go set that I recently got from La Petite Confiserie.

Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush
Described by Tarte as...
A long-wearing, solar-baked blush that lasts up to 12 hours.
Blush that wears better, longer, and truer!
Infused with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun, this nutrient-rich blush benefits all skin types for a fade-free flawless finish for an amazing 12 hours.
Suitable for oily and dry skin types. Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay's nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin's moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony.

The full size (.2 oz) blush, that is currently available from other Philippine based online shops such as eBay, costs at around 1,500 pesos each. It's quite expensive, Good thing I found a great deal, for this set is only 1,200 pesos from La Petite.
This is a great way for people to test these products out without spending too much. They are so cute. However, I’m not so fond of the plasticky packaging, it reminds me of my baby’s fake cosmetics from her vanity toys.
Tarte Dollface- it’s a pretty matte soft, cool, light dusty pink shade that I really love. I thought it would be too bright judging from its color in the pan, but it produced a wonderful color when I did my swatch and applied it on my cheeks.
The shade seems to be neutral pink that would work best on both warm and cool toned ladies with light to medium skin tones. This is really a wonderful product! I’ve been using this for quite a while and it doesn't break me out! It is well pigmented. Honestly one swoop of this product on the cheeks is all you will need.
For Comparison:
It’s not as hot bubble pink shade as the NARS Desire. Dollface is a pretty matte neutral pink! It just gives a nice flush of color that lasts.
Onto the Bronzer- Park Avenue Princess
The shade is lovely, true medium Golden Bronze! It has a gold sheen with very micro shimmer, that you can barely see when applied on the face.
As you can tell, the two bronzers are very comparable in color though NARS laguna is more yellow and Golden than the Park Avenue Princess, which is slightly darker, and bronze-ier.( if that makes sense)
Both Shades has a slight sheen to it. I have applied them as my Bronzer and contouring powder on my jaw, cheek and down my neck. the sheen that they have is not very noticeable.
Overall:
I love the Blush and Bronzer. The shades are lovely, have a great texture and very well pigmented. I haven’t worn any of these for a full 12 hours, but after 6-7 hours, the color didn't totally fade. Moreover, Knowing the facts that it has anti-aging nutrients and free from any harmful properties made me want these products more. I hope I can get all the other beautiful shades next time.
If you are looking for a product that is free from any harmful formulation, I would definitely check out this bronzer or the TARTE Park Ave Princess Matte Waterproof Mineral Powder Bronzer.

Oooh, both look really lovely! The pink of the blush is perfect, and the bronzer looks good as well, even though I don't really use bronzer. Wish Tarte was available here. ><

I have the worst unattainable lemming urge for Tarte blushes. I own one and have swatched several. They're SUPER pigmented on other people's skin but for some reason they fail to really show up on mine. I think i'm going to go to a new Sephora or Ulta from the two i've been to...; _ ; maybe their testers were broken?
I have Park Avenue Princess. It's really more of a highlighter than a contour or bronzer on my skintone but I do like it. As you said, it's not as golden as some other bronzers- it's a true bronze. It's great for a subtler effect.
I've heard a lot about this Amazonian Clay blush! All of the shades look amazing!
I've been wanting to buy the Clay blush for a while. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I have loved all Tarte products that I have tried.

wow.. nice blushes.. I like their packaging because it looks cute. hihihihi.. :) I'd prefer the NARS desire over Tarte Dollface though because it's more pigmented than Tarte's. But I'd go for Tarte's Park Avenue Princess because it looks perfect for a bronzer/countering :)

Lovely review! I've been eying a few of the Tarte sample size sets on Sephora's website but since I'm unfamiliar with the brand I haven't been giving into my intrigues. But thank you for the review. I really like the Park Avenue Princess bronzer, even more so than the NARS bronzer!

i agree that the packaging on these is kinda cheap! i saw the blushes in store & loved the colors though. this one looks great. i love buying little sets like this, much better deal hehe
