And now, Let's Talk about bronzers. We all know that bronzers is the most easy and great way to give your face a better definition. Using bronzers or contouring powders in proper places of your face can give you a sexy higher cheekbones, a slimmer nose, and an overall more defined slender face.

I mainly use a bronzer to contour and just to give me a little sun kissed glow for my uber pale skin.

Here are my current favorite bronzers/contour powders:

Bobbi Brown- I adore this bronzer so much. I love it on my fairly pale skin. I have it in natural shade- a true matte brown. It never fails to give me a natural gorgeous contoured bronzed face without any glitter or shimmer. Doesn't make me look muddy or blotchy or streaky. This is the prettiest bronzer that I've ever got. Love the packaging and all- this is actually my favorite as it has a a great blend-ability, so soft, silky and completely matte! This is something that I want to do everyday.. It really pulls my whole look together-- a well polished and defined finish.

Nars Bronzer in Laguna is the most raved, high-rated Bronzer out there because of it's perfect color-- It is suited to most skin tone, definitely a great bronzer without getting orangey, muddy, or reddish. So pigmented with a nice shade of sunkissed glow with a little bit of shimmer. You can notice the subtle shimmer with the swatches. I'm a little weary to use it for contouring- as I thought shimmery product is not such a great contour powder, but it works.. it does the job done! I am loving to use it, as a bronzer and a contour powder.. as I want to de-emphasize my round face.. with the packaging- it's nice and big with a mirror but the rubbery case tends to get dirty easily. I have to wipe it with a damp cloth.

Nyx Powder Blush in Taupe- I just like the shade of this one, it's perfect to make my nose look a little thinner. It is a cool toned, matte, not too pigmented and has a grayish undertone… Perfect as it is! Build-able, Not yellowy, or orangey. It gives me a natural, defined nose without a surgery! And you can't argue with the price--it's only 300 pesos from Digital Traincase!

Tips for Contouring:
  • Use a contouring powder 2-4 shades darker than your skintone.
  • Apply a light bronzer/contour powder to each temples and blend. This will create a shadow effect causing the forehead to look more narrowed..
  • as well as applying on the hollows of the cheeks- Suck in the cheeks (like a kissy face look) find the hollows and lightly sweep the brush- along the jaw line and blend it down towards your neck. This creates depth and helps to strengthen the jaw line.
  • To add some dimension and brighten up the look- apply a highlighter center of your forehead, nose chin and above the cheekbone.
(i hope you understand the sketch/marker- i'm not good with it! LOL total effort)

I like that you included NYX among Bobbi and NARS, it shows that cheaper products can hold their own. I've never been a fan of bronzer, being tan, but I'm starting to try to learn the benefits of contouring. Hopefully I can get as good as you!
